Andy and Gretchen Petersen
Andy was born and raised on the ranch. After college he served in the air force for several years before returning to the ranch in 1993, when help was needed. Since then he has been a part of the ever changing operation. His biggest push for growth and improvement has been putting many acres into new timber ground. Andy and Gretchen raised two kids, Ry and Hailey, on the place. Ry is a pharmacist and lives in Springfield with his wife, Brittany, and their two kids. Hailey lives and works on the ranch with her husband, Matt and children. Gretchen was a stay at home mom for their kid's growing up years and is now a stay at home grandma for the grandkids. She is much needed and appreciated. Gretchen helps with jobs around the ranch as needed. In their free time they enjoy traveling and time spent with family and friends.
Hailey and Matt Buck
Hailey was born and raised on the ranch. She graduated from Oregon State with an Animal Science, Beef Production degree. She has always loved the ranch and especially enjoys managing the cattle. Matt grew up in a farming family in the St. Paul area and developed a love for the land at a young age. Matt heads up all things Hazelnuts. He is also a Realtor with Hybrid Real Estate. . Matt and Hailey have two kids: a three-year-old daughter, Morgan and a 15 month old son, Wesley who both love animals and anything outdoors.
Alan and Joan Petersen
Alan's father, Oswald Petersen, bought the ranch in 1941. Alan was four at the time, and the youngest of three brothers. After their dad passed away the three brother divided the place up between themselves, leaving us with what we now know as the ranch. Alan has worked tirelessly on the place his whole life. He has seen everything from raising thousands of turkeys during the war, to crops, to hogs, to cattle... and now hazelnuts. While change may not always be his favorite thing, you wouldn’t know it. He has done well to accept and embrace it along the way. Joan, his wife of 60 years grew up in the Camp Creek valley as well. They have been friends since they can remember. Joan was a stay at home mom, raising three children, and has always tended to the house, yard, and garden, while still helping us with whatever is needed along the way... usually in the form of much appreciated soda and treats in the summer. These two have put in years of literal blood, sweat, and tears to get us to where we are today and we are forever grateful to them. In their free time they like to take road trips to the coast, eastern Oregon, and their property in Montana.
